Reservation & Deposit Policy

At League of Shepherds, we carefully plan each litter and take great pride in placing our puppies in committed, well-prepared homes. To keep the process fair, organized, and transparent for everyone, we follow the reservation and deposit policy outlined below.

Deposit Policy

Once an application has been reviewed and approved, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. The deposit secures your place on our reservation list for the selected litter and will be applied toward the final purchase price of your puppy.

Because we only accept a limited number of reservations per litter, deposits are non-refundable. This policy helps ensure that reservations are made by families who are truly ready and committed, allowing us to responsibly plan placements for each puppy.

Pick Order

Puppy selection is made in the order that deposits are received. Once the puppies reach the appropriate age for evaluation, families will be contacted in reservation order to make their selection.

In some cases, breeder picks or evaluations may take place before public selections in order to maintain the integrity of our breeding program. All remaining reservations will then proceed according to deposit order.

Balance Due Timeline

The remaining balance for your puppy is due at the time of pickup, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. Final payment must be completed before the puppy leaves our care.

We will provide details regarding pickup scheduling, preparation, and final payment instructions as the litter approaches go-home age.

If the Litter Size Is Smaller Than Expected

Because litter size cannot be guaranteed, it is possible that there may be fewer puppies available than reservations. In this situation, reservations will be honored based on deposit order.

Families who are not able to receive a puppy from the current litter will have the option to:

• Transfer their deposit to the next available litter, or

• Remain on the reservation list for a future breeding

Your position in line will be maintained based on your original deposit date.

Deposit Transfers to Future Litters

Deposits may be transferred to a future litter if a puppy is not available that meets your preferences (for example: gender or timing), or if the litter size is smaller than expected.

Deposits are not refundable, but they may be carried forward to a future litter within our program. We are happy to work with families to find the right match while maintaining fairness to everyone on our reservation list.
